Inline Mold & Leg Board Turnover

The turnover is positioned in line right before the demolder. It allows a single station to turn the mold over upside down on the leg board in order to prepare it for the demolding process. The self-adjusting clamping system allows the use of molds of different styles and heights.

Operation

A leg board is placed upside down on top of a filled mold with upward facing cavities. Together, the mold and the leg board go into the turnover on an internal chain conveyor to be stopped in the middle. The jaws of the clamping system close by centering the load in the middle of the rotary tunnel. The rotary tunnel then performs a half turn on an axis perpendicular to the flow of the conveyor. Then, the jaws open to lower the set on the internal conveyor of the machine. The mold is now upside down on top of the leg board. The leg board with the mold on top can now exit the machine. At the same time, it brings a new mold on a leg board in to the tunnel which will be turned over in the same manner but at the opposite rotation direction.
